#FollowFriday: Shel Holtz

Updated December 23, 2021

As one of the earliest public relations podcasters and a frequent speaker at industry conferences, Shel Holtz is already known to many agency leaders.

For those who may be hearing the name for the first time, Shel has been a persistent and prolific thought leader for communicators.

Perhaps best known for the For Immediate Release podcast that he co-hosted weekly for many years with Neville Hobson (and with whom he continues to record), Shel also contributes generously through his blog and social media accounts.

Shel provides a near-daily email newsletter with links to lots of relevant articles and posts for communications leaders. He does lots of reading and shares the benefit of his discoveries with the rest of us.

He posts frequently on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn — and he regularly engages with his followers.

I’m particularly grateful for his work on the FIR Podcast Network, home to a number of excellent communications-related podcasts — as well as my own Agency Leadership Podcast and Chats with Chip.

For all that does to help promote excellence in communications and improve the knowledge of agency leaders, Shel Holtz is this week’s #FollowFriday recommendation.
